About the race
Friends of the National Arboretum Fall 5K is a run or walk held at the U.S. National Arboretum, located at 3501 New York Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002. The route passes garden collections showing fall foliage, travels over tree-lined rolling hills, and follows streams that flow toward the Anacostia River within a 451 acre urban green space.
During the event all roads are closed to cars, providing a car-free course through the Arboretum. A professional race announcer will call out runners as they cross the finish line, and there will be music before and after the event.
Strollers and dogs are allowed on the course; dogs must remain on a 6' non-retractable leash.
