MCM 8K - Marine Corps Marathon
The MCM 8K is an inaugural eight-kilometer race held as part of Marine Corps Marathon Weekend. The event is open to runners ages 10 and up and awards the official MCM Weekend finisher medal to participants. The course includes on-course Marine support and scenic views.
Participants must maintain a required pace of 14 minutes per mile for runners and walkers. Official participant bibs have the timing device attached to the reverse side and must remain in place for proper timing; emergency medical and contact information on the back of the bib must be completed.
Packet Pick-up takes place within the MCM Health & Fitness Expo at the Building Museum. Packet Pick-up is not available on event morning. Scheduled packet pick-up dates and hours are October 22 and October 23, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Runners receive an e-Card with instructions and must present a photo ID at pick-up. Proxy pick-up is permitted when the proxy presents the runner’s completed e-Card and a copy of the runner’s photo ID; parents may sign waivers and retrieve packets for participants under 18.
The Marine Corps Marathon Organization does not permit transfers or deferrals for the 2026 events. Refundable registration and optional protection through a third party called TEAK are available under specific terms and documentation requirements.
