MCM 8K - Marine Corps Marathon
The MCM 8K is a new 8-kilometer event held as part of Marine Corps Marathon Weekend. The inaugural race takes place on Saturday, October 24. The organizer describes scenic views, on-course Marine support, and an official MCM Weekend finisher medal presented in the spirit of Semper Fi.
Registration is open to runners ages 10 and up. Transfers and deferrals are not permitted for the 2026 events; official deferments granted from the 2025 season will be honored for participation in 2026. Refund Protect through TEAK is available as optional coverage during registration.
Packet pick-up is required and takes place within the MCM Health & Fitness Expo at the Building Museum to obtain the official bib with timing device and the technical competitor shirt. Packet pick-up is scheduled for October 22 and October 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Packet pick-up is not available on event morning. Runners must present the e-Card and a photo ID. Proxy pick-up is allowed with the runner’s completed e-Card and copies of required IDs; parents may sign a waiver and retrieve packets for children under 18.
Participant bibs include the timing device attached to the reverse side and must remain in place. An emergency medical and contact information form is printed on the back of the bib and must be completed by all participants.
Refundable registrations purchased through TEAK have specific documentation and timing requirements and exclude certain situations such as concerns about coronavirus without a positive test, event cancellation, and processing fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
