MCM 8K
The MCM 8K is the inaugural eight kilometer race held during Marine Corps Marathon Weekend on Saturday, October 24. The event is open to runners ages 10 and up and awards an official MCM Weekend finisher medal. The course includes scenic views and on course Marine support.
Registration is open. Packet pick up takes place at the MCM Health & Fitness Expo at the Building Museum. Packet pick up times are scheduled via the runner's bib confirmation email to reduce wait times. Packet pick up dates and hours are October 22 and October 23, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Packet pick up is not available on event morning.
All participants must attend packet pick up to receive the official bib with the timing device and the technical competitor shirt. Runners must bring their eCard and a photo ID. Runners are encouraged to pick up their own materials and verify personal information. Proxy pickup is allowed when the proxy presents the runner's completed eCard and copies of required IDs. Parents may sign waivers and retrieve packets for children under 18.
The participant bib includes the timing device on its reverse side and must remain in place for proper timing. An emergency medical and contact information form is printed on the back of the bib and must be completed.
Transfers or deferrals are not permitted for the 2026 events; registrations are final. Refund Protect through TEAK is available as optional coverage. Refundable registration through TEAK can be purchased during registration or up to five days after confirmation and requires documentation for any approved refund. Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the event with supporting documents provided within 90 days. Refundable registration does not cover concerns about coronavirus without a positive test, event cancellation, or processing fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
