About the race
Friends of Four Parks 5K & 10K Run/Walk (2027 edition) takes place in the Bronx with a start and finish at the track in Macombs Dam Park. The course runs through the four parks of the Historic Lower Grand Concourse: Joyce Kilmer, Franz Sigel, Macombs Dam, and Wendell Foster Park, and passes the Lorelai Fountain, the Bronx Supreme Court, and Yankee Stadium. Runners are accompanied by lead cyclists and NYPD support with street closures.
Distances:
- 5K, one loop
- 10K, two loops; runners must pass through the finish line on both loops for accurate times and splits
Event amenities listed for participants include a personalized race bib when registered three weeks in advance, a commemorative T-shirt while supplies last, Waterloo sparkling water, finish line photos, and online age group listings for top three male and female finishers with no awards. There is no formal bag check; a general monitored area is provided but the organizers are not responsible for lost or misplaced items.
Bib pickup is managed by event staff before the race; participants must know their bib number or use a self-lookup area. If registration occurs within 24 hours of bib pickup, the event may text the bib number shortly after registration.
Proceeds benefit the Friends of 4 Parks Alliance, a registered 501(c)(3) that promotes community events in the local parks of the lower Grand Concourse. Live results and same-day finish line photos are available online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
