Event overview
Fremington Frenzy is a trail race on 28 March 2026 based at Low Fremington Village Hall in Reeth, North Yorkshire. The route distance is 11 km. Entry is restricted to participants aged 16 and over and the event limit is 100 runners. Entry fees are £18 for affiliated runners and £20 for unaffiliated runners; all prices include a £1 donation to the local National Park.
Course and facilities
The course is hilly and mostly single track, with a very steep first ascent, technical descents including sections through mining hushes with loose rock, and a return that follows Arkle Beck through the Heggs-Castle renaturing project into Reeth. The route is fully marked with tape, pin flags and coloured arrow signs; critical turns and road crossings are manned by marshals. A GPX file and PDF map are available for the route. An aid station provides water and some food, and post-race hot and cold drinks and cakes are provided by a local charity as part of the entry. Toilets are at the village hall and portable toilets will be placed in the starting field.
Logistics and safety
Parking is in a nearby working field that may be muddy and can contain livestock. Mandatory kit includes taped-seam waterproof jacket and trousers, hat or buff, gloves, and an emergency blanket or bivvy bag; kit checks may be carried out and missing mandatory items can lead to disqualification. Course markings can be moved or removed, so runners are advised to carry the route map. Generous cutoffs are stated for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
