June Freedom Run 5K - Overland Park
The June Freedom Run 5K takes place at the Prairiefire Campus on 135th Street in Overland Park. The event features a 5 kilometer run/walk course, finisher medals, and event shirts. Shirts are only guaranteed for participants who register prior to May 16, 2026. The listed registration fee is $35.00. Online registration opens November 30, 2025 and is accepted through June 11, 2026; onsite registration is available on the morning of the race.
Packet pickup is available at two locations before race day: Very Fit Co., 12208 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS on June 6, 2026, and Fitness Factory KC, LLC, 10550 W. 103rd St., Overland Park, KS on June 11, 2026. Leftover packets from pickup locations will be taken to the race site on race morning.
The race is scheduled alongside a Juneteenth OP community event that follows the run. That community event includes a parade, a petting zoo, face painting, and vendors.
