June Freedom Run 5K : Overland Park
The June Freedom Run 5K is a community running event at the PrairieFire Campus, 5661 W 135th St, Overland Park, KS 66223. The event offers a 5K run and walk and will award finisher medals and provide event shirts, with shirts not guaranteed for registrations made after May 16.
The race is paired with a Juneteenth Overland Park event held after the run. That post-race gathering includes a parade, a petting zoo, face painting, vendors, and other family-focused activities.
Packet pickup is organized at two local fitness retailers prior to race day: Very Fit Co. in Shawnee and Fitness Factory KC in Overland Park. Leftover race packets will be brought to the race site on race morning. Online registration is available during the stated registration period and onsite registration is offered on the morning of the event. Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are part of the event program.
