Freedom 5k - Keystone Heights
The Freedom 5k takes place on July 4, 2026 in Keystone Heights, Florida, with the start and finish on Lawrence Boulevard in front of City Hall (555 South Lawrence Boulevard). The event is a 3.1 Miles chip timed road race with timing provided by Florida Race Day. Water stations are located at mile 1, mile 2.25 and the start/finish area. Wheelchairs and strollers are permitted; bikes, skates, skate shoes, skateboards and scooters are prohibited.
Proceeds benefit the Jordan Cooper Memorial Scholarship Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that awards scholarships to Keystone Heights High School graduating seniors. The first 400 finishers will receive finisher medals. Awards by time will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, and top male and female finishers in multiple age groups and the wheelchair division.
Packet pickup is at City Hall on July 3 from the late afternoon into early evening and on race morning at City Hall. Parking is available at Community Church, a short walk from the start. The local Independence Day celebration also includes a parade, arts and crafts and food vendors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
