The FTC Mary Andrews Marathon: overview
The FTC Mary Andrews Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Hawthorne, FL (21815 SE 71st Ave, Hawthorne, FL 32640). The event includes the following distances:
- 26.2 miles (Full Marathon)
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 26.2 miles (Full Marathon 4-person relay)
The race is held on the Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail and is USATF certified. The marathon course is a four-loop out-and-back on paved trail and is listed as a Boston qualifier. The half marathon covers two loops of the certified course and will offer pacing groups for a range of finish times.
Course, logistics, and services
The paved trail has tree canopy on both sides of the course. Timing is fully automatic with runner tracking provided by Endurance Sports Timing. On-course hydration is provided at about every 1.5 miles with water and electrolytes; gels are available in limited quantities at aid stations. Aid stations are positioned for runners to use them on their right.
The event is capped at 200 total runners across the full and half events. Packet pick-up is available on race morning at the event starting at 6:30 am. Parking is provided at Hawthorne Middle/High School (21403 SE 69th Ave); participants are asked not to park at the trail head. Awards include finisher medals, shirts or jackets for registrants (guaranteed for those registered by 12/24), overall and masters awards, and age-group awards in 10-year categories.
