The FTC Mary Andrews Marathon: 13.1 & 26.2 : event details

The event is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Hawthorne, FL (21815 SE 71st Ave). It includes the following race options:

  • 26.2 miles (Full Marathon)
  • 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
  • Full Marathon 4-person relay

The race is capped at 200 total runners across the full and half events. Registration for the full and half is available online until one hour before the race start; there is no race-day registration for relay teams. Packet pick-up is available on race morning at the event. Parking is provided at Hawthorne Middle/High School (21403 SE 69th Ave); participants are asked not to park at the trail head and to use designated street parking zones shown on the event map.

Course, support, and awards

Both distances start at the Hawthorne Trail Head on the Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail. The paved, flat course is USATF certified (marathon certificate FL21006JK; half certificate FL21007JK) and uses a looped out-and-back layout: the marathon is four loops (each loop one quarter marathon) and the half is two loops. Fully automatic timing with runner tracking is provided by Endurance Sports Timing. There is a 6-hour course cutoff for aid stations, traffic guards, and official timing. Aid stations are placed about every 1.5 miles with water and electrolytes; gels are available in limited quantities. All finishers receive a custom FTC finisher medal; registrants are eligible for a custom jacket (guaranteed for registrations completed by 12/17).
