15th Annual Free-da's Run: 5K Run/Walk
The 15th Annual Free-da's Run is a themed 5K run and walk held on March 15, 2026, at McAllister Park, Pavilion #2 in San Antonio, Texas. The event includes an in-person race and a virtual 5K option.
A costume contest will be held for the best FREEDA (Frida-inspired) costume. The schedule includes additional on-site activities described as a Fiesta. Official event items such as the event T-shirt and finisher medal were announced as coming soon. Packet pick-up details are to be determined.
Awards for the 5K are given to overall male and female winners and to M&F masters. There are 10-year age-group awards for the top three male and female finishers in each group. Age-group awards are based on chip time and overall winner awards are based on gun time. Award duplication is not permitted.
A free kids run is offered; only the top three male and female finishers receive awards and no finisher medals are provided for participants. A limited number of children's shirts are available on a first come, first served basis. The event notes that entry fees are nonrefundable. Results, photos, and videos from previous editions are available from past years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
