Event overview
The 15th Annual Free-da's Run is a community 5K run/walk held on March 15, 2026, at McAllister Park, Pavilion #2, 13298 Buckhorn Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247. The event includes a virtual 5K option and a separate kids fun run. The event is inspired by the artist Frida Kahlo and features a costume contest focused on the Free-da/Frida theme. Awards for the 5K run/walk include overall male and female winners, male and female masters, and 10-year age-group awards for the first three finishers. Age-group awards are based on chip time; overall winner awards are based on gun time. No duplication of awards is allowed. The kids run awards the top three male and female finishers only; no finisher medals are listed and a limited number of kids shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
