Freeda's Run: 5K Run/Walk for the arts
Freeda's Run is the 16th annual themed 5K Run/Walk held on March 14, 2027 at McAllister Park Pavilion #2, 13298 Buckhorn Rd, San Antonio, TX 78247. The event includes in-person and virtual options and a free kids fun run.

Awards and recognition are offered for the 5K in multiple categories. Overall male and female winners and male and female masters receive awards based on gun time. Age group awards are offered in 10 year divisions for the first three male and female finishers and are based on chip time. Award rules specify no duplication of awards. A costume contest for the best Frida themed costume is part of the program.
Event operations and amenities noted in advance include an official race T-shirt and medal to be announced, and packet pick-up listed as TBD. The kids run does not award finisher medals; only the top three male and female finishers receive awards and a limited number of children’s T-shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis. Fee schedule is tiered and nonrefundable with a virtual 5K fee separate from in-person registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
