Freebird 5K : Lexington, KY

The Freebird 5K takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Coldstream Dog Park / Legacy Trail, 1850 Pisacano Drive, Lexington, KY 40511. The event is held to honor the life and legacy of a local public safety professional. The race benefits the Lexington Public Safety Museum.

Overall top three male and female finishers will be recognized, along with top three male and female in multiple age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. Commemorative unisex poly/cotton shirts are offered (sizes S through 4XL) with a no-shirt option. Additional features include free race photos, a finish-line photo contest, social teams with a prize for the largest team, race-day packet pickup, food, and volunteer opportunities.
