Fox Valley Winter Challenge Trail Series 10K
The Fox Valley Winter Challenge Trail Series 10K serves as the final installment of the 2026 series. The event takes place at the Hickory Knolls Discovery Center in St. Charles, Illinois. This race follows previous events in the series held at 5 km and 8 km distances.
The course features a variety of surfaces and terrain types. Participants navigate a route consisting of:
- Dirt paths
- Crushed limestone
- Short climbs
- Long stretches for pacing
The race starts on the road located behind the discovery center, accessible via a trail to the right of the building. Parking is available at James O'Breen Community Park, situated just before the pickleball courts when approaching the discovery center.
Participants receive a finisher medal and winter gear. Those who complete all three distances in the series are eligible for a bonus set of gear and a combined medal set.
