Lake Ellyn 1-Mile Classic
The Lake Ellyn 1-Mile Classic is a running event held in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The course consists of a one-mile loop around Lake Ellyn Park, providing participants with views of the lake and the local community. The event utilizes a paved running surface for the duration of the course.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 1 mile loop around Lake Ellyn Park.
- 0.25 mile Kid's Dash on Lenox Road.
The event is organized by the Glen Ellyn Park District and is open to participants between the ages of 6 and 100. For the Kid's Dash, adults are permitted to accompany children without the requirement of a separate registration. The 0.25-mile course is a modified route specifically designated for the younger age group.
Registration is available through both online and in-person methods. Packet pick-up is scheduled at the Ackerman SFC during front desk hours in the days leading up to the race, as well as at Lake Ellyn Park on the morning of the event.
