Packet pickup is available before race day at Dick Pond Athletics, 303 N. Second Street, St. Charles, IL, and at the Peg Bond Center on race day. Virtual participants can run or walk their distance between April 17 and April 24, 2027; event swag for virtual entries is scheduled to ship the week of April 17. Virtual results may be recorded through an app or submitted manually for posting.
All participants in the 5K and 10K receive a custom finisher's medal. The 5K awards include top overall male and female plus first through third place in age groups from 10 and under through 70 and over. The 10K awards include top overall male and female plus first through third place in age groups starting at 14 and under through 70 and over.
The event lists a Rising Lights Project fundraising page and several sponsors, including Atlas Chicken Shack, Dick Pond Athletics, Hogan, and Comfort Inn. Registration transfers are allowed for a $5 fee; the race does not allow deferrals. Certified course maps are provided for both distances.
