Chicken Run : Batavia, Illinois
Chicken Run is a spring road race held in Batavia, Illinois, with in-person and virtual options. The event offers two distance choices:
- 5K
- 10K
The in-person events are based at the Peg Bond Center (151 N. Island Avenue, Batavia, IL). Early packet pickup is scheduled for April 15, 2027, at Dick Pond Athletics (303 N. Second Street, St. Charles, IL). Race day packet pickup and registration take place at the Peg Bond Center on April 17, 2027.
Virtual participation is available for the same distances; virtual runners and walkers may record and submit results between April 17 and April 24, 2027. Virtual participants receive event swag shipped the week of April 17, 2027, and may post results to the event results platform.
All participants in the 5K and 10K receive a custom finisher's medal. Both distances award top overall male and female, plus first through third place in multiple age-group categories. Course maps are provided for the 5K and 10K, and the event notes allowances for dogs and strollers.
