Chicken Run overview
The Chicken Run takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Peg Bond Center, 151 N. Island Avenue, Batavia, Illinois. The event offers multiple race distances and includes an in-person kids dash on the same day. Certified course maps are provided for the 5K and 10K routes.

Registration, packet pickup and virtual option
Registration is available with different pricing tiers for each distance. Pre-race packet pickup is offered on a day before the event at Dick Pond Athletics in St. Charles, and race day packet pickup and registration are available at the Peg Bond Center. A virtual option for the 5K and 10K runs is offered with participation dates from April 18 to April 25, 2026. Virtual participants receive race swag shipped the week of April 18 and can submit recorded results from a tracking app or manually during the virtual participation window.
Awards, swag and logistics
All finishers in the 5K and 10K receive a custom finisher's medal. Age-group awards are offered for both distances, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in multiple age categories and overall male and female awards. Kids Dash participants receive a chicken hat and a goodies bag; the Kids Dash does not include a shirt. Parking is available in front of and next to the Peg Bond Center, with additional parking within walking distance. Observers should respect posted no-parking signs in nearby lots.
