About the race
Chicken Run is an in-person and virtual running event held in Batavia, Illinois on April 17, 2027. The event is based at the Peg Bond Center, 151 N. Island Avenue, Batavia, IL, with early packet pickup offered in St. Charles and race day packet pickup at the Peg Bond Center.

Virtual participation is available for the same distances from April 17 to April 24, 2027; event SWAG for virtual participants is scheduled to ship the week of April 17. Virtual results can be recorded with the ASICS Runkeeper app or submitted manually to the event results system.
All participants in the 5K and 10K will receive a custom finisher’s medal. The 5K awards include top overall male and top overall female, plus 1st through 3rd place in the following age groups: 10 & under; 11–14; 15–19; 20–24; 25–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–64; 65–69; 70 & over. The 10K awards include top overall male and top overall female, plus 1st through 3rd place in these age groups: 14 & under; 15–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70 & over.
Registration transfers are permitted for a $5 fee. Sponsors named for the event include Atlas Chicken Shack, Dick Pond Athletics, Hogan, and Comfort Inn. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
