Fox Lake Sprint Triathlon, June 7, 2026
The 9th annual USAT sanctioned Fox Lake Sprint Triathlon takes place in Fox Lake, Illinois, at LakeFront Park and the nearby transition area at 10 Riverview Ave. The event accepts individual entries and relay teams; relay teams may consist of two or three racers who split the swim, bike, and run legs.
Course specifics are:
- 750 yard swim. Triangle course with buoys on the left and two inflatable turns.
- 12 mile bike. Rolling hills with some straight sections for faster efforts.
- 3.1 mile run. Out-and-back route with over two miles on a paved bike path.
Logistics noted by the organizer include parking within two blocks of transition and a finish line located steps from transition. The event is typically wetsuit legal, enforces a no-draft rule on the bike course, and will have a USAT official present on the bike route. The finish area features music, food for racers, and awards presented near the final finisher; awards for older age groups are distributed before younger age groups.
Packet pick-up is available at a local running store in the days before the race and at the race site the day before and on race morning. Registration closes on June 5, 2026.
