Fox Lake Sprint Triathlon 2026
The Fox Lake Sprint Triathlon is a USAT sanctioned sprint tri held in Fox Lake, Illinois on June 7, 2026. This is the 9th annual edition and it accepts both individual entries and relay teams.
Event distances:
- Swim: 750 yard triangle with buoys left; two duck turns, swan finish.
- Bike: 12 mile rolling course with some rollers and straight sections.
- Run: 3.1 mile out and back, over 2 miles on a paved bike path.
The swim uses a triangular buoyed course. Rolling time trial starts are used, with athletes starting at short intervals. Drafting is not allowed on the bike course and a USAT official will monitor the route. The finish line and transition area are adjacent, and parking is available within two blocks of transition. The finish line area includes music, food for participants, and awards presented near the end of the event.
Packet pick up is available at LakeFront Park in Fox Lake and at Running Depot in Crystal Lake on the listed pre-race days. Participants will receive event swag and a choice of a hat or visor. The event also participates in the Lake County Tri Series, which bundles three sprint races at one rate and is limited to 50 series participants.
