Fox Lake Sprint Triathlon 2026
The 9th Annual USAT sanctioned Fox Lake Sprint Triathlon takes place on June 7, 2026 at LakeFront Park, 10 Riverview Ave, Fox Lake, Illinois. The event offers individual and relay entries and is part of a local triathlon series option.
- 750 yard swim
- 12 mile bike
- 3.1 mile run
The swim is a 750 yard triangle in Nippersink Lake with buoys kept to the left, two inflatable "duck" turns, and a final swim-to-shore finish noted as the swan finish. The bike course covers roughly 12 miles of rolling roads with a few rollers and several straight sections suitable for faster riding. Drafting on the bike is prohibited and a USAT official will monitor the course. The run is a 3.1 mile out and back, with more than two miles on a paved bike path and a finish area located steps from transition.
Logistics include parking within two blocks of transition and a spectator friendly layout near the finish. The start uses a time trial format with starts every five seconds. Packet pick up is available at Running Depot in Crystal Lake in early June and at LakeFront Park during race weekend. Registration closes June 5, 2026.
