Henry's Thanksgiving Day Hustle 5K & 1/2 Mile Kids Dash takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026 at Marlowe Middle School, 9625 Haligus Road, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156.
Event distances include:

- 1/2 Mile Kids Dash (800 m)
The event benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The 5K is chip timed with a chip start and online results. Water is provided at approximately the 1.6 mile mark. Both the 5K and the Kids Dash include a t-shirt (sizing guaranteed through November 2, 2026) and a goodie bag with coupons and product samples. Registered participants are entered into raffle drawings; separate kid-friendly raffles are offered for the Kids Dash. A post-race party includes music, food and snacks, coffee, a hydration station, stretching provided by Athletico Physical Therapy, kids activities, and awards.
Awards are given by gender for overall finishers and by age divisions with medals for the top three in each division. Overall winners receive medals and other prizes; additional age-group prizes are listed by organizers.
Packet pick up is available Wednesday, November 25 from 5:00–8:00 pm at Arctic Heating and Cooling, 111 Erick St #120, Crystal Lake, IL, and on race day at Marlowe Middle School. Parking is at the school front lot; the start/finish is on the rear side of the building. There is no gear check. Run/Walk participants must be 5 years or older; Kids Dash is for ages 12 months to 12 years. Strollers are welcome; no rollerblades, scooters, or pets.
