Event Overview
The Community First Fox Cities Marathon is a multi-day event featuring a variety of road races and walking competitions. Participants pass through several communities in the Fox Cities region, crossing waterfront sections and residential neighborhoods. The marathon and half marathon courses include over 8 miles and nearly 3 miles of paved trails respectively. Both routes feature the Fox Cities Trestle Trail Bridge, which is the longest pedestrian bridge in Wisconsin at 1,600 feet.
The event offers several race distances:
- 26.2 Miles (Full Marathon)
- 26.2 Miles (Relay Marathon for teams of 2-5 people)
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon Run/Walk and Competitive Walk)
- 6.2 Miles (10K Run/Walk)
- 3.1 Miles (5K Run/Walk)
- Kids Fun Run (Mini Dash, 1/4 Mile, or 1/2 Mile)
- Diaper Dash and Toddler Trot
The marathon, relay, and half marathon begin on Midway Road in Menasha. The full marathon travels through six communities before finishing at Riverside Park in Neenah. The half marathon follows a similar path, sharing the final 9 miles of the marathon course and featuring rolling terrain with a bridge overpass. The 10K and 5K events start and finish at Riverside Park, with the 5K course being stroller and dog friendly. Kids' events are held at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton.
All participants receive a shirt at registration and a finisher medal upon completion. Post-race refreshments are provided at the finish line.
