About the race
The Festival Foods Turkey Trot Oshkosh takes place on Thanksgiving morning at the Oshkosh Seniors Center. Participants can choose between different event distances and modes including:
- 5-Mile Run
- 2-Mile Fun Run
- 2-Mile Walk
- Dog Jog (on the 2-Mile course)
The event utilizes a wave start system to organize different participant groups. The first wave consists of the 5-Mile runners, followed by the 2-Mile runners, then the 2-Mile walkers. The final group is the Dog Jog, which is restricted to the 2-Mile course only. For safety and flow, walkers and those with strollers are positioned at the back of their respective waves.
Registered participants receive a long-sleeve shirt and a personal pumpkin pie upon finishing the event. Bib and t-shirt pick-up is held at the Oshkosh Seniors Center North Building on the Wednesday prior to the event and on Thanksgiving morning.
Parking is available at several nearby locations, including Fox Valley Technical College, UW-Oshkosh parking lots at Witzel and Campbell Road, the Verve parking lot, and the Parks Department lot. Additional parking can be found in streets south of Witzel Avenue and in lots east of Ohio Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
