Fort Myers Half Marathon and 5k - Fort Myers, Florida
The Fort Myers event on February 27, 2027 is the ninth annual running hosted at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. The event offers two race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5k
The course runs through the university campus and nearby walkways, with sections along lakes including views of Lake Como and a finish across handset pavers. Water and electrolyte drink stations are provided approximately every two miles. The half marathon has a time limit of 3.5 hours.
Entries include a technical shirt or a cotton tank and a finisher medal. Personalized engraving on the back of the medal is available at the event for an additional ten dollars. Awards are given to the top five finishers in each age group, with age categories ranging from children to 75 and older. Because live timing is used, awards can be presented shortly after finishing.
Practical event information includes early packet pick up on the day before the race and race day packet pick up, an athlete guide released the week of the event, and ample parking at Alico Arena.
