Forks 5K - Albion, MI
The Forks 5K is a community run held in Albion at Victory Park, located where two branches of the Kalamazoo River meet. The event is scheduled during Albion’s Festival of the Forks and is part of the Run Albion series.
Distances and formats:
- 5K in-person
- Kids Fun Run (free)
- 5K virtual
All in-person 5K participants receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top five men and top five women overall in the in-person individual events. Participants earn points that count toward series scoring when they complete at least two of the series events. The virtual 5K can be completed at any chosen course and must be finished between September 18 and September 20; virtual participants also receive a medal. There are no virtual series awards, though a mix of in-person and virtual participation can still qualify a runner for in-person series awards when conditions are met.
The 5K course is open to strollers and dogs. Student pricing applies automatically for participants 18 and under, reducing the 5K entry fee by ten dollars. The race is professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results are posted live during the event and online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
