Forgotten Forest 9-Hour Ultra Run : Stratford, CT

The Forgotten Forest 9-hour ultra is a timed trail running event held in Roosevelt Forest in Stratford, Connecticut. The course uses a well-marked single and double-track loop of approximately 2.2 miles with about 131 feet of elevation gain per loop. Trail surfaces include roots, rocks, rolling hills, and several bridge crossings.

Field size is limited to 50 participants. Registration is final; there are no refunds, bib transfers, or race deferrals. Entry fees support event production, permits, supplies, and contributions to diversified charities. CDC, state, and town public-health requirements are applied.

On-course support is centralized at the pavilion, which serves as the sole aid station. Small tables, chairs, and canopies are allowed in the picnic area near the pavilion. Porta potties are located nearby. Parking is limited; larger vehicles should use the side lot and RVs are not permitted in the main lot. Dogs may attend as spectators but must be kept on leash.

Pacers are permitted after seven hours of running and must sign a waiver and receive a wristband at the pavilion before pacing. Any pacer without a wristband will result in participant disqualification. Race swag includes items provided with entry and selections from sponsors, including non-alcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing. Race t-shirts are available for purchase during registration and in limited quantity on race day.
