Forgotten Forest Ultra Run - Stratford, CT
The Forgotten Forest 9-hour Ultra is a timed trail event held in Roosevelt Forest at 700 Peters Lane in Stratford, Connecticut. Competitors run repeated laps on a well-marked single and double-track loop of approximately 2.2 miles, with about 131 feet of elevation gain per lap. The course features typical New England trail surfaces, including roots, rocks, rolling hills, bridges, and picnic-area sections near the pavilion.
Field size is limited to 50 participants. Registration is final; there are no refunds, bib transfers, or race deferrals. Entrants must be at least 18 years old or have a parental or guardian signed waiver. CDC, state, and town requirements are applied to the event.
Race operations are centered at the pavilion, which serves as the primary aid station and the location for crew check-in and pacer wristband pickup. Porta potties are available nearby. Parking is limited; larger vehicles should use the side lot and RVs are not allowed in that lot. Dogs are permitted as spectators but must be kept on leash.
Race entries include event swag and concessions; non-alcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing is among the listed items. Race shirts can be purchased during registration with a limited quantity available on race day. Podium awards are given for the most miles completed by the event cutoff for both female and male finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
