Event details
The Forever 5 & 10 Milers take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Blue Ridge, VA 24064. The event offers the following options:
- 5 miles
- 10 miles
- 5-mile virtual run
- 10-mile virtual run
- Race and RNUTS bundle
Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5 miler, $45 for the 10 miler, and $25 for each virtual run. Prices increase after January 6, 2026. Registration opens December 8, 2025 and some registration options close on January 31, 2026. The bundle option shows a $0 base price but fees apply after selection.
Course and logistics
Both the 5- and 10-mile courses are out-and-back and use a section of the Hellgate 100k route (miles 55-60), called the Forever Section. The route follows a rocky backcountry portion of the Glenwood Horse Trail between Day Creek Day Use Area and Bobblets Gap Road. The 5 miler will have a volunteer or timing point at the halfway point. The 10 miler will have a timing point at Bobblets Gap Road to verify the turnaround.
Packet pickup is scheduled on the days before the event at Gilbert Chiropractic in Salem (26 West Main Street, Salem, VA 24153) and at Fleet Feet Sports in Roanoke (4347 Franklin Road), plus pickup at Day Creek Day Use Area on race day.
