Event Overview
Follow the Sign is an annual walk and run event organized by the Georgia Center of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (GCDHH). Taking place at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, Georgia, the event is held in conjunction with the International Week of the Deaf. The initiative was established by Deaf and Hard of Hearing members to showcase cultural diversity and support community accessibility.
The course is a USATF-certified 5K, making it an official qualifier for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Participants can choose between an in-person event and a virtual option.

- 5K Walk/Run: A certified course for participants ages 5 and older.
- Virtual 5K: A flexible option to complete the distance at any location.
Participant Information
All in-person participants receive a race T-shirt, a race number at check-in, and a medal upon completing the course. Walkers are requested to stay to the right side of the path to allow runners to pass on the left. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult. For those needing assistance, guide or push-assist runners are required to register for the event.
The venue at Brook Run Park includes parking across from the Amphitheater. The site is also accessible via MARTA rail to Dunwoody Station, followed by bus route 103.
Awards
Awards are presented to the overall male and female finishers. Additionally, top finishers are recognized in various age categories, including under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Only timed runners are eligible for these awards, which are determined by net time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
