First Responder 5k Run/Walk : Atlanta
The event offers both an in-person and a virtual 5K to support Cobb County first responders. The in-person portion is held at The Battery Atlanta, 800 Battery Ave., Atlanta, GA 30339. Virtual participants may complete their 5K anywhere and submit results online between race day and the following Sunday.
Registration details specify an entry fee of $35 for the in-person 5K and $40 for the virtual 5K. Registration opens on February 5, 2026, and closes on June 27, 2026. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by July 3, 2026. In-person registration includes a t-shirt and a finisher medal; medals are not included for virtual participants. Virtual shirts will be mailed after the event.
On-site activities listed for the in-person event include first responder vehicles and displays, the Atlanta Braves mascot Blooper, family lawn games, and a water fountain or spray ground. The course is described as hilly. Water stations will be available before and after the course. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome.
Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in multiple age divisions, including Overall Male and Female and age groups from 10 and under through 70+. Packet pickup is available prior to race day on August 19 and 20 at Cobb County Animal Control, and on race day at the event registration tent.
