Flanders Field & Forest 5K
The Flanders Field & Forest 5K is an annual trail event held at the Van Vleck Farm & Nature Sanctuary in Woodbury, Connecticut. Participants navigate a course that traverses the woods and fields of the sanctuary property. The event is a timed race used to support the organization's mission of land preservation and nature education.

The race is officially timed, with awards presented to the top overall male and female winners, as well as the top finishers in various age divisions. The terrain of the course is specific to a nature sanctuary; consequently, strollers and pets are not permitted on the route for safety and conservation reasons.
The event takes place rain or shine, though cancellations may occur in the case of lightning. Post-run activities at the sanctuary feature live music and food trucks. Registrations completed by a specific early deadline include a race shirt. The registration fee is non-refundable, and the race is open to participants of various experience levels interested in trail running or walking.
