The Brookfield Lions Run for Sight is a 4-mile road race held on Thursday, January 1, 2026. The event takes place at Brookfield High School in Brookfield, CT. This edition is the 39th annual running of the New Year’s Day 4-Miler. Proceeds support the Connecticut Lions Eye Research Foundation and other local charities. The listed entry fee for the event is $32.80 (includes a $2.80 fee) and registration closes December 30, 2025 at 11:59pm EST. Race day registration is available onsite starting at 9:30 A.M. Free long-sleeve custom race shirts are provided for the first 100 registrants.
Course and prizes
The official course starts in front of Brookfield High School, proceeds north on Long Meadow Hill Road, turns left on Hillandale Road, then rights on Farview Road and Ironworks Hill Road, and returns on Long Meadow Hill Road to finish at the high school. Organizers note a flat and fast finish back at Brookfield High School.
Cash and age-group awards are listed: $100 for 1st place overall (male/female), $50 for 1st place masters (40+) (male/female), age bracket awards for 1st–3rd (male/female), plus a $100 bonus for breaking the course record.
