Event Overview
The Sweetheart Run & Walk is an annual event open to all ages. The event has two distance options: a 5-mile run and a 3-mile walk. It takes place in Litchfield, Connecticut, with the primary date being February 14 and a backup snow date of February 21.
Course Details
The 5-mile run follows a USATF-certified course. The route takes participants through White's Woods on a mix of dirt and paved roads.
Post-Race
After finishing, participants can gather indoors at the Litchfield Community Center. An age-group award ceremony is held there, and refreshments are provided. Proceeds from the event benefit the community center's family and youth programming.
Logistics
The event uses chip timing by Fast Track Timing Systems. Registration is available on the day of the event. The standard entry fee increases after February 12.
