Fix Events - Richmond Park Half Marathon
The Richmond Park May running event takes place in the expansive grounds of Richmond Park in London. Participants can choose between three different race distances that utilize a multi-lap format around the park's landscape. The course consists of a mix of country paths, trail sections, and grass, with a gradual incline during the first 2 km of each lap. Due to the varied terrain, trail shoes are recommended.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km (one lap)
- 10 km (two laps)
- Half Marathon (four laps)
The courses are chip-timed, with results going live as the event progresses. The start is staggered to comply with park policies, though the timing system records the duration from the moment a runner crosses the starting mat. Participants should be aware that the park remains open to the public during the event, and local wildlife, including deer, may be present near the paths.
The event hub is located on the grass area adjacent to the East Sheen Gate carpark. On-site facilities include limited bag storage and water stations at the start, finish, and the 5 km mark. All finishers receive a medal, and trophies are awarded to the overall winners of each distance. Off-road buggies are permitted, and the course is accessible for wheelchairs, although some sections involve grass and trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
