Event Overview
The Fitzgerald's Lager Run takes place in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. It includes two separate USATF-certified races on the same day. The event benefits the Glen Ridge Community Fund, a not-for-profit charity.
The Races
The event consists of two courses:
- Fitzgerald's Lager 5K: A net-downhill route on tree-lined streets in Glen Ridge, finishing on a track. It is also the USATF-NJ Open Men's and Women's 5K Championship.
- The Nipper 2K: A net-downhill course that also finishes on the track.
Both runs are open to participants of all ages, including runners, joggers, walkers, and those with strollers.
Amenities and Awards
All registrants receive a commemorative technical singlet or a cotton T-shirt. Post-race amenities include Hoboken beer, wine, water, watermelon, and pretzels. For the 5K, the top 100 male and female finishers receive a commemorative pint glass. Prize money is awarded to the top three male and female finishers. The top overall male and female finisher in the 2K receives a commemorative vase, and all 2K finishers get a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
