Fitzgerald's Lager Run 5K and The Nipper 2K

The event in Glen Ridge, New Jersey features two USATF certified net downhill courses with fast track finishes and is open to runners, joggers, strollers, and walkers of all ages. The event benefits the Glen Ridge Community Fund, a not-for-profit 501C3 charity, and will be held rain or shine.

Distances:

• 5K Fitzgerald's Lager Run - USATF certified net downhill route through tree-lined, gas-lit streets.
• Nipper 2K - USATF certified net downhill course with a fast track finish.

Initial registration fees listed in the event information are $35 for the 5K, $25 for the 2K, and $60 to enter both races; these fees are inclusive of the RSU fee. A 10% USATF-NJ discount applies to the 5K. The Fitzgerald's 5K also serves as the USATF-NJ Open Men and Women 5K Championship and Challenge while remaining open to all participants.

All registrants receive a commemorative New Balance singlet or a limited supply cotton T shirt. The top 100 male and female 5K finishers receive a commemorative pint glass at the finish line. Nipper 2K finishers receive a commemorative medal. Post race offerings include Hoboken beer and wine along with water, watermelon, and pretzels. State of New Jersey ABC rules require ID and wristbands for participants who wish to receive an adult beverage; wristbands are issued near check in after bib pick up and volunteers will check identification.
