NYC Memorial Day Running Event
The NYC Memorial Day event takes place at the Fort Hamilton Base in Brooklyn, New York. This athletic event offers multiple distances for participants to choose from, with the primary courses situated within the military base. The start and finish lines are located just inside the base entrance at 100th Street and Fort Hamilton Parkway.
Participants can select from the following distances:
- Half Marathon: A three-loop course.
- 10K: A two-loop course.
- 5K: A single-loop course.
Each loop is timed in real time, allowing for tracking as runners complete each lap. The event also includes a virtual participation option for those who wish to complete their chosen distance from other locations and upload their results on the day of the race.
The course features three water stations providing water, electrolyte drinks, and energy gels. Registered participants receive a technical T-shirt with male and female cuts, a commemorative bib with an attached timing chip, and a die-cast finisher medal with a full-color ribbon. Plaques are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over.
On-site amenities include a baggage check-in area and race day packet pick-up. Participants must present a government-issued photo ID to collect their materials.
