Fort Lee Historic Park 5K
The Fort Lee Historic Park 5K takes place in Fort Lee, New Jersey, as part of the RevolutionNJ Race Series. This series is organized by RevolutionNJ, the official organization responsible for planning the 250th anniversary commemoration of the founding of the United States. The race is set within the Fort Lee Historic Park and aims to blend physical activity with New Jersey’s Revolutionary War history.
Participants can choose between two main events:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Walk
The event is inspired by the historical run of Jonas Cattell, who warned American troops of a British attack at the Red Bank Battlefield. This race is the third of six events in the Revolutionary Race Series, which also includes runs at locations such as Cedar Bridge Tavern, Monmouth Battlefield, and Batsto Village.
Registration for the event is available online until late May 2026, and race day registration is also offered for those choosing to sign up in person. The event is managed by TNT Event Management.
The competition brings together runners, families, and history enthusiasts to explore the unique revolutionary significance of the region. The park location provides a direct connection to the state's historical sites and the diverse stories of the people who inhabited the area during the nation's founding.
