First Street Beer Mile, Cleveland TN (4th annual)
The First Street Beer Mile is a four-lap, one-mile race on First Street in Cleveland, Tennessee. The course runs from Mash & Hops toward Ocoee Street, turns around, and returns toward Church Street. Each lap begins with a drinking station where participants consume a 12 oz can; a total of four cans are consumed during the race. Runners may not start a lap until the can is emptied entirely in the designated drinking area in front of Mash & Hops.
Two event divisions are listed:
- 1 mile : Beer Mile (21+), includes four 12 oz alcoholic beers.
- 1 mile : Non Alcoholic Beer Mile (21+), includes four NA beers and requires ID.
Registration is limited to 70 participants and is available in person until the event fills. Entry fees are $32 through June 30 and $37 from July 1 until race day. Packet pickup is available on August 8 at Mash & Hops. Awards are given to the fastest runners and to the fastest chuggers. The event is organized by Terra Running Company, Mash & Hops, and Blackhorse Pub and Brewery, with sponsorship noted from Blackhorse Pub and Brewery.
