FHPA First Responder's 5K - Orlando
The FHPA First Responder's 5K is an annual community event held at the Promenade at Sunset Walk in Kissimmee, Florida. Now in its second year, the race serves as a tribute to local first responders and supports public safety initiatives. The event takes place on the grounds of the Margaritaville Resort Orlando and the surrounding entertainment district.
Participants can choose from the following distance:
- 5 km run/walk
The course is professionally chip-timed. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and a finisher medal. Through the timing service, runners also get an individual results page that includes a pace breakdown, a finisher certificate, and a 20-second video of their start and finish line crossing.
The venue at the Promenade at Sunset Walk offers various amenities nearby, including dining, shopping, and entertainment options. The event is open to participants of all ages. Proceeds from the race benefit the Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary, a nonprofit organization that providing operational assistance to the Florida Highway Patrol and supporting community relationships.
