First Responders 5K
The First Responders 5K is an annual running event held at Webster Fireman's Field in Webster, New York. The race serves to recognize the service and sacrifice of police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and 911 operators. It aims to raise awareness for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) among first responders, with a portion of proceeds and all additional donations benefiting the FRST Agency.
Participants can register for the following events:
- 5K (Open to all participants)
- 5K - Active First Responders (Reserved for active personnel)
The event features professional electronic RFID timing and online results. Registration includes a short-sleeve unisex t-shirt for those registered by the mid-August deadline, an event bib, and post-race food and drink. Participants may join or create teams, including family and friend groups or official department teams. A specific award is presented to the fastest responder competing in full uniform or gear.
This race is a member of the Fleet Feet Grand Prix Series. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, alongside age group awards for various categories ranging from under 19 to 80 and over.
