5th Annual Steven Derks Memorial 5K
The 5th Annual Steven Derks Memorial 5K takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Rochester, New York. The course runs on Monroe Community College campus roads and is USATF course certified. Parking, registration and post-race refreshments are located at Faith Bible Church, 1095 E. Henrietta Rd, Rochester NY 14623. No parking is allowed at the MCC campus.
Entry fees are listed as $25 through September 25 and $30 on race day. Registration opens May 1, 2026. Registrants who register by September 1 are guaranteed sizing for the event t-shirt or Cool-Max socks; apparel is non-gender specific.
Awards include cash prizes to the top three overall male and female finishers ($150, $100, $50) and gold, silver and bronze medals in each age group, with age divisions beginning at 0-9 and extending through 80 and over. Packet pickup is available Friday, September 25, 5:00-7:00 pm at Faith Bible Church or on race day at Faith Bible Church from 7:00-7:50 am.
Post-race food and refreshments include pancake casserole, Chobani yogurt, bagels, bananas, salty snacks, water and coffee. The event lists local sponsors and provides a licensed course certification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
