Brighton Believes 5K
The Brighton Believes 5K is a community-oriented event held at Meridian Centre Park in Rochester, New York. This event serves as a celebration for the start of the new school year and is organized by the Brighton PTSA. Participants can take part in various activities designed for different age groups and preferences.
The event features two primary distances:
- 5 km run or walk
- 1 mile "Choose Your Own Adventure" kids fun run
The 5 km race is professionally timed by RobinHood Racing. For the kids fun run, participants have the flexibility to select their own distance, with options including a quarter mile, a half mile, three quarters of a mile, or a full mile. Every participant in the kids run receives a medal upon completion of their chosen distance.
The venue at Meridian Centre Park includes a Dedicated Vendor Zone for attendees to explore. Registration includes a race day t-shirt for those who sign up by the specified early deadline of September 7th. All proceeds from the event are used to support events, scholarships, and other opportunities facilitated by the PTSA for students and families within the Brighton community. This is a rain or shine event, though organizers monitor for severe weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
