Event Overview
The First Call race series takes place in Waukesha, Wisconsin, serving as an event to mark the beginning of the spring running season. Participants gather at the Fox River Sanctuary, specifically at the E.B. Shurts Building located on West College Avenue. This event is part of the Chilly Willy Winter Run Series and offers a variety of distances and disciplines on paved trail systems.
Course Details
The routes utilize the Glacial Drumlin Trail and the Fox River Trail. These paths are described as flat and fast surfaces. The course layout accommodates multiple distances and formats, including running, walking, and rucking.
Distances and Categories
Participants can choose from the following event options:
- 1/2 Marathon: A 13.1 mile race with a standard start and an early start option.
- 10K: A 6.2 mile running race.
- 10K Ruck: A 6.2 mile rucking event.
- 5K: A 3.12 mile running race.
- 5K Walk: A 3.1 mile event designated for walking only.
- 5K Ruck: A 3.1 mile rucking event.
- 1K Kiddo's Race: A 1 km distance specifically for children.
