Event Overview
The Firecracker Four is an annual Independence Day event held in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Celebrating its 48th edition in 2026, the event is organized by the Hales Corners Fourth of July Committee and includes several running and walking options through local neighborhoods.
Available distances and events include:
- 4 Mile Run
- 1.4 Mile Untimed Fun Run
- 4 Mile Run (Ages 12 and Under)
- 1.4 Mile Untimed Fun Run (Ages 12 and Under)
The 4 mile course starts on New Berlin Road and heads southeast towards Godsell, while the 1.4 mile route heads northwest towards 121st Street before joining the final stretch of the longer course. Both events conclude at the field within Hales Corners Park.
Participation and Services
Participants can attend a post-race celebration featuring refreshments such as cookies and chocolate milk. For the 4 mile run, trophies are awarded to the overall male and female winners. Medals are also provided for the first through fourth place finishers in various age groups, ranging from 9 and under to 80 and over.
Registration is conducted online. Participants may collect their packets on designated days prior to the event at Performance Running Outfitters in Brookfield or the Hales Corners Pool House.
