Milwaukee Turkey Trot 5K & 8K
The Milwaukee Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running event in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, held at McKinley/Veterans Park (1750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive). The 2026 edition is presented as the 12th annual Milwaukee Turkey Trot and is part of the Wisconsin Runs Race Series and the nationwide Thankful Turkey virtual series, with results aggregated to a national leader board.

The event is chip timed with individual timing chips integrated into bibs. Course time limits are published for each distance. A Kids Dash is included and all Kids Dash finishers receive a finisher award. Awards for the 5K and 8K are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall; participants must be present on race day to receive medals. Age categories range from 10 & Under through 70+.
Participant gear options include a classic t-shirt or an upgraded thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Packets can be mailed for an additional fee or picked up before the event; mailed packets typically arrive shortly before race day. Virtual entries are supported, with virtual packets mailed after the event and virtual results submitted to the event results page.
Course support includes water at all water stations. There is no gear check. Strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only, and parents must sign waivers for children in strollers.
