Milwaukee Turkey Trot 5K & 8K (Milwaukee, WI)
The Milwaukee Turkey Trot is a chip-timed community run held in Milwaukee on November 26, 2026, at McKinley/Veterans Park (1750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive). The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 8K
The race is part of the Wisconsin Runs Race Series and the nationwide Thankful Turkey Run/Walk, with results included on a national leader board. The 2026 official charity partner is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, an organization that supports mentoring relationships for youth.
Participant options include mailed race packets (limited availability, fee applies) and a virtual category. Mailed or virtual packets typically arrive 1–4 days before race day. Event gear is offered as a classic t-shirt or an upgrade to a thin-tec soft polyester pullover. Cranky Al’s Donuts are provided at the finish area.
Course logistics and participant services: water stations provide water, there is no gear check on site, and strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only with a guardian waiver; dogs are not permitted. Time limits are published for each distance. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall; kids who run the Kids Dash receive a finisher award.
