Milwaukee Turkey Trot 5K & 8K
The Milwaukee Turkey Trot is scheduled for November 26, 2026, in Milwaukee, WI, with start and finish at McKinley / Veterans Park (1750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive). The event offers timed road races in two distances:
- 5K
- 8K
The event is chip timed and includes a kids dash and kids categories. Course time limits are listed as 5K : 1 hour 20 minutes and 8K : 1 hour 30 minutes. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group and overall; kids dash participants receive a finisher award. Age categories run from 10 and under through 70 plus.
Participant gear options include a classic t shirt or upgrades to performance apparel such as a thin tec soft polyester pullover, fleece hoodie, or long sleeve. Packets can be mailed to participants for a fee and packet pick up information is posted prior to the event; mailed gear typically arrives a few days before race day.
Cranky Al’s donuts will be available at the finish line. The event is part of the Wisconsin Runs Race Series and is included in the nationwide Thankful Turkey virtual leader board. The 2026 official charity partner is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee.
Race services note that all water stations include water, there is no gear check on site, strollers are allowed for walkers and joggers only, and no dogs are permitted.
