St. Leonard Turkey Trot
The St. Leonard Turkey Trot returns to Muskego, Wisconsin, for its 14th consecutive year. This holiday event takes place on Thanksgiving Day and follows a route through historic Pioneer Drive and wide subdivision streets. Participants can choose between running and walking options, with the running course featuring two water stations, sentries at intersections, and cowbell encouragement along the way.
The event offers several individual and team participation categories:
- 5K run for individuals or teams of up to six people.
- 3K walk for individuals or teams of up to six people.
Running participants receive chip timing provided by T-H timing, and awards are distributed for separate age groups. Walkers are not timed during the event. Dogs are permitted to join participants, but they are restricted to the walking portion of the event only.
Registration typically includes a colorful wicking t-shirt, DJ entertainment, and refreshments. To guarantee a specific shirt size, participants must complete their registration by mid-November. For pre-registered individuals, there are two scheduled opportunities to collect bibs and shirts prior to the event: a drive-through pickup on the Sunday before the race and a walk-in pickup at the school on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving.
