Fire Trail Running Festival
The Fire Trail Running Festival is a night trail running event held at Guadalupe River State Park in Spring Branch, TX (3350 Park Rd 31). The event offers several looped trail distances on rocky and dirt single-track through grasslands and woodlands on trails named Barred Owl, Painted Bunting, and Live Oak.

The course has approximately 214 ft elevation gain per loop. Historic average temperatures for the event range from 75 to 90 degrees. This is a no cup race; participants are required to carry their own water system. A headlamp is required for all participants.
The event includes a RUCK category with weight requirements based on body weight: participants over 150 lb carry 30 lb, and those under 150 lb carry 20 lb. A ruck sack or vest is allowed.
Race gear and awards include a soft shirt, collectible finisher medals with a 50K inscription for 50K finishers, 1st–3rd place awards for men and women at each distance, DFL awards for the 50K, and a RUCK patch for RUCK finishers. The event features marked and supported aid stations, aid station food and hydration, on-course photography, and event staff and volunteers.
The event is part of the Texas Summer Night Series. Series passes are available through June 3, 2026, with promotional items and series finish awards for participants who complete multiple races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
