About the race
Firehose Frenzy is a community 5k and 1k event held at Desert Color in St. George. A portion of event proceeds will benefit the St.
George Firefighters Association. Fire trucks will be positioned along the course to spray runners with water. The event offers the following distances: - 5k race - 1k race There will be one aid station on the 5k course offering water, Gatorade, and popsicles at about 1.8 miles from the start. After the races, a post-race lagoon party at the Desert Color Lagoon will take place, with scheduled activities that include water aerobics and a watermelon eating contest. All finishers receive a finisher medal.
The top three male and female finishers in each race, for both adult and kids divisions, will receive awards; an awards ceremony is scheduled after the races. Packet pickup is located in the grass area by the pickleball courts at Desert Color (Akoya Pearl Community Park), 820 W Akoya Pearl St, St. George, UT 84790. Listed entry fees include multiple tiers for adults and a youth rate.
Kids are defined as individuals 12 years old or younger. Organizers also seek volunteers to support event operations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
