Finger Lakes Triathlon Canandaigua
The Finger Lakes Triathlon Canandaigua is scheduled for September 12–13, 2026 at Kershaw Park on the shores of Canandaigua Lake in Canandaigua, NY. The event traditionally attracts over 1,000 athletes from the United States and Canada across a range of age groups.
The weekend program includes multiple competitive options: Intermediate Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, Aquabike at sprint and intermediate distances, Duathlon, a High School Sprint, relay team categories for intermediate and sprint distances, kids events for younger athletes, and charity entry spots for sprint and intermediate distances. Kids events cover the age groups listed by the organizer up to age 15.
Relay registration follows a team process: a team captain registers first, creates the team name, and pays the full team entry; subsequent team members register and join the preexisting team with no payment due at that stage. If team members do not select the correct preexisting team, they will be charged the full individual price.
Charity entries require a cost to the racer of $30 and a fundraising commitment of $500. Charity participation includes VIP status, a commemorative VIP race jersey, VIP goodie bags, a VIP reception hosted at Twisted Rail Brewery overlooking the lake, recognition for the highest fundraising team at the awards ceremony, and entry into a raffle for prizes such as an ADK cabin weekend, a case of wine from a local winery, a Garmin Forerunner watch, and other gift certificates.
The event listing provides options for insurance, transferring a registration to another person up to two weeks before the race with director approval, or rolling a registration to the following year in exchange for volunteering when arranged with the race director at least ten days before the event.
