Filey Lions 10K Beach Race
The Filey Lions 10K Beach Race is an annual beach race in Filey, North Yorkshire, held on 20 June 2027 and organised by Filey Lions Club since 2015. The race covers 10 km on the beach, starting and finishing close to Filey Sailing Club, which also serves as race headquarters and registration base.
The course is multi terrain and flat, run as a single lap. Runners head south along a marshalled beach, turn at the 5 km water station, and return to the start and finish arch. The event is not suitable for wheelchairs and is run without a race licence.
The entry limit is 250 runners. Entry fees are listed as £18 for affiliated runners and £20 for unaffiliated runners; entry on the day is not available. Any profits from the event are used by Filey Lions Club to support local charities and community groups.
Facilities at the race headquarters include water, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities, showers, and baggage storage. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
