Fight the Flame 5K - Greenville
The Fight the Flame 5K is a road run on November 14, 2026, hosted by the Red Oak Community Rural Fire Department in Greenville, NC. The course starts and finishes at Jaycee Park. The event raises funds for department needs including training, equipment, gear, and truck maintenance.

Registration opens August 3, 2026 and closes October 17, 2026. Fees vary by date: $25 through October 17, $30 after October 17, and $35 on race day. Every participant receives a race shirt; registration by October 24 guarantees availability and preferred shirt size.
Packet pickup is available November 12 and 13 from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM at the Red Oak Community Rural Fire Department, 925 W Star St, Greenville, NC 27834.
Awards are given to the overall first place male and female; overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Age group awards for first and second place male and female are offered in these groups: under 14, 15-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-59, and 60 and over.
