Event Overview

The Fife Pilgrim Way Ultra Marathon is a new 90 km ultra marathon scheduled for 2026. The race is a UTMB Index 100K category event. It follows the historic Fife Pilgrim Way route from North Queensferry to St Andrews Cathedral.

The Route

The fully marked course follows an ancient pilgrim route, passing through historic towns including Dunfermline, Lochore, Markinch, and Ceres. The course has an elevation gain of 1,200 m. The start and registration point is in North Queensferry, and the finish is at St Andrews Cathedral.

Event Details

The race has a 15-hour time limit and is open to participants aged 20 and over. A maximum of 150 runners can participate. Included with entry are medals for finishers, t-shirts for all entrants, hot food at selected aid stations, and a shuttle bus service back to the start.
