Festivus 5K Run - Chesterton, Indiana
The Festivus 5K Run takes place on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Chesterton, Indiana. The event is based at Running Vines Winery, 101 Broadway, Chesterton. It includes a timed 5K run/walk and an untimed kids event. Distances:

Registration, course, perks and awards
Online registration is required and remains open through race day. Entry fees vary by date: the 5K is priced at $30 by December 1, $35 by December 13, and $40 on race day. The Santa Kids Dash fees are $10 by December 1, $12 by December 13, and $15 on race day. Packet pick up is available in the days before the race at Extra Mile Fitness Company, 3400 Calumet Ave, Valparaiso, IN, and onsite at Running Vines Winery on race day.
The kids dash is an out-and-back 1K course on Broadway. The 5K uses chip timing with timing mats at the starting line and live results by text and email. Registered 5K finishers receive a finisher medal. The event partners with the Chesterton Fire Department for a Toys for Tots campaign; toy donors (minimum value $20) may receive a Santa Hat while supplies last. Awards include custom trophies, top overall and masters (male and female), and top 3 in age groups from 10 & under through 75 and up. Awards may be claimed within 14 days after the event at Extra Mile Fitness Co.; unclaimed awards will be donated or recycled.
