Valparaiso Turkey Trot
The Valparaiso Turkey Trot is a community 5K walk/run held in Valparaiso, Indiana on November 26, 2026. The event is hosted by the Porter-Starke Services Foundation and proceeds support behavioral and physical healthcare programs and services in Northwest Indiana.
The course runs through the streets of Valparaiso and the event is held completely outside. There will be no access to Valparaiso High School or the fieldhouse on race morning. Road closures affect Campbell Street and nearby intersections; the organizer provides alternate approaches to Valparaiso High School from the north and south and notes limited parking access at the high school.
Packet pick-up is scheduled in the days before the event at Extra Mile Fitness Company, 3400 Calumet Avenue, Valparaiso. There is no race day packet pick-up. Registration opens August 14, 2026 and closes October 24, 2026, with a registration fee of $30.00. No shuttle buses are provided; parking is available within walking distance at nearby lots and facilities.
All registered participants receive a custom 2026 Valparaiso Turkey Trot finisher medal. Awards are given for Overall and Overall Masters in male, female, and non-binary categories, and age group awards are offered for ranges from 0-8 through 80 and over. Strollers are allowed and start at the back of the race corral. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Packet pick-up may be performed by a designated person with the participant's confirmation QR code. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
