FEARmanagh 2026
FEARmanagh takes place on Saturday, 26th September 2026 in County Fermanagh. The event combines cycling on quiet back roads, a water section along Lough Erne, and a steep climb called the Magho Cliff Challenge. The route runs within the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark.
The course moves through a limestone and sandstone landscape formed about 330 million years ago and more recently carved by glacial action. Competitors encounter varied terrain that includes back roads, rocky lough shores and a near-vertical climb of 304 metres at the Magho Cliff Challenge. A 2 kilometre section on the water forms part of the route.
Distances offered include:
- 74 km
- 34-35 km
- 2 km water section
The Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark covers public lands with over 70 sites across the west of counties Fermanagh and Cavan, including Lough Navar Forest. The Geopark aims to support sustainable development through conservation, education, community engagement and tourism.
