About the race

FEARmanagh is a multi-sport event combining cycling, trail running and kayaking set within the Cuilcagh Lakelands UNESCO Global Geopark. The event features longer and shorter route options that mix quiet back roads, trails and a waterside kayak section.

The long course covers approximately 74Kms and the short course approximately 35Kms. Route components listed by the organisers include multiple cycling legs, trail running sections and a kayaking stage. The Magho Cliff Challenge is part of both courses and includes a downhill section of about 1.2 km and an uphill section of roughly 1,000 ft (about 304 m). The kayak section is described as around 1–2 km along Lough Erne’s shoreline. The organiser notes that routes may be subject to slight changes.

Competition entries are available for individuals, recorded as male or female, or as teams of four. Team results use the best three times from a team to determine placings. The event takes place across public lands and sites within the Geopark, which the organiser describes as containing limestone and sandstone landscapes shaped over 330 million years and later modified by glaciation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
