Bundoran Races - March 5 and 6, 2027
The event comprises two road races in Bundoran on separate days in March 2027. Distances offered:
- 5k run
- 10 mile run
The event is sold out and race packs have been posted. Race numbers for 5km entries ordered by 31 January were posted to the registration address; numbers ordered after that date can be collected at the rear of Bundoran Community Centre on the evening of the race. There will be no entry on race day. An information point will be at the rear of Bundoran Community Centre, F94 RH33, open on 28 February and on 1 March during specified hours.
Assembly and start procedures use local landmarks: the 5k assembles on the green outside Waterworld on Atlantic Way; the 10 mile uses the West End Car Park in front of the Allingham Arms and a pathway beside American House for access. Entrants are asked to position themselves to reduce congestion and to pass under the start gantry to activate chip timing. There is a three hour cutoff.
Facilities and services: toilet locations near the Bridge, at the finish, at the 4 mile point and additional portaloos; ample parking at West End and Main Beach car parks with no parking charges currently; three water stations at roughly 4 miles, 7 miles and the finish using a Tetra Top sustainable water format with bins nearby; paramedic and medical personnel will cover the route.
At the finish stewards will manage flow; water, fruit and snacks will be available and medals are handed out after crossing. Prize presentations will follow each category and include multiple age-group and team awards. Headphones are not permitted while running. Organisers will issue further updates via social media.
