Event Details

The Father's Day Run & Walk, formally the Richard Newcomb Memorial Father's Day Race, takes place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Audubon Park, New Orleans. The address is 6555 Magazine St. Shelter #10.

The event features two running distances and a family-oriented team category.

2-Mile Run
1/2 Mile Kids Run

Participants can form teams with a father or grandfather figure to compete for special awards. Team confirmations happen on race morning at a designated table.

Packet pickup and race-day registration open at 7:00 AM at Shelter #10, next to the Newman Bandshell. A commemorative race shirt for day-of registrants is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

After the races, there will be music, food, and refreshments. The event supports the New Orleans Track Club Scholarship Fund. The race is open to runners and walkers of all speeds, and is organized by the New Orleans Track Club. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
