4th Annual Running for The Edson

The event takes place on July 12, 2026 at 1680 Martin St., Bay City, MI. It is the fourth annual 5K event held on the grounds of the USS Edson and marks the United States 250th birthday. Proceeds support ongoing preservation efforts for the USS Edson and activities related to sharing the historic ship with future visitors.

Race offerings are all 5K formats and include a notable authentic gun start from the USS Edson’s cannon. Participants receive a special race-day shirt and a commemorative medal. The USS Edson Museum offers free admission for a self-guided tour on the event day. Pre- and post-race stretching assistance is provided by Freeland Sports Rehab. Snacks and water are available for participants.

Registration opens January 26, 2026 and closes July 5, 2026. The stated registration fee is $45.00.
